Troubleshoot power issues on Lenovo Laptops
About: If your Lenovo laptop is not powering on, try the steps below.
| Disconnect the laptop from power |
| Removed the battery from the laptop
Slide the clips to unlock the battery, then slide the battery out towards the back of the laptop. |
| Get a paperclip, and insert it in the emergency power reset hole
- On the underside of the laptop, locate the emergency power reset hole shown below.
- Insert the paper clip in to this hole for 5 seconds, then remove the paper clip.

| Reinsert the battery and connect the laptop to power |
| Power on the laptop
Push the power button to turn the laptop on. You should see lights and the laptop should boot. |
