Sign out and sign back in to Google Drive for Desktop
About: If you notice discrepancies between a folder on
drive.google.com in your web browser and a folder in your G: drive; or if opening files via the G: drive is taking a long time - signing out and back in to Google Drive for Desktop (previously called Drive File Stream) typically resolves this type of issue.
| Find the Google Drive icon in the system tray
The system tray is located in the bottom right corner of Windows - near the clock. Look for the Google Drive icon. You may need to click the UP arrow to reveal more icons.

| Open Google Drive preferences
- Click the Google Drive icon.
- Click the Gear icon.
- Click Preferences.

| Disconnect your account
In the Preferences window, click the Gear icon at the top right, then click Disconnect Account, then click Disconnect.

| Sign back in to Google Drive for Desktop
Click the Google Drive icon again, then click Sign in. A Chrome tab will open, click on your HHM Google Account, then click Sign in.

| See if your issue is resolved.After signing out and signing back in to Google Drive for Desktop:
- Your folders in the G: drive should match what you see drive.google.com.
- Performance issues should be resolved.
