Recover a previous version of a Google Doc, Sheet or Slide

About: As you update and edit a Doc, Sheet or Slide - Google Drive keeps track of versions automatically without needing to click save. You can easily restore to a previous version of the file by following the instructions below. The instructions below are only applicable to files are a Google Doc, Sheet, Slide, etc.

Open Google Drive 

Go to drive.google.com  in your web browser 

Open the Doc, Sheet or Slide file

 Double click the file to open it in a new tab

Open Version History

Click the link where it says "Last edit was made..."



or Click File > Version History > See version history




Restore previous version

Select the version along the right that you want to restore to, then click Restore this version.
