Microsoft Office Security Risk Warning

About: If you are getting a security risk error when opening files in Microsoft Office, follow the steps below to resolve this error.




Open a Microsoft Office app (Word, Excel, etc)


Click File then click Options



Click Trust Center then click Trust Center Settings...




Click Trusted Locations then click Add new location...



Add the G: drive as a trusted location

  1. Click Browse...
  2. Select the G: drive then click OK.
  3. Check the Subfolders of this location are also trusted checkbox.
  4. Click OK, then click OK again.
  5. Test opening your file to see if the issue is resolved.
