Working remotely overview

About: As we continue to move to the Cloud, many of our apps are accessible from any internet connected device.  There are however some apps which still require a connection into our corporate network in one form or another.  See below for a list of which apps are already in the Cloud and details on how to access the ones that are not.

Apps in the cloud


These apps are accessible from any internet connected device. We recommend using the Business Apps menu on Inside HHM to find links to our apps.


SL & BI360


These apps are accessible from any internet connected device by logging in to remoteaccess.hersha.net first, then launching the app.

HHM Remote Access Overview


Depending on where you work you can access HHM apps remotely via the web at remoteaccess.hersha.net or looking under the Work Resources folder in your Start Menu on an HHM PC.

Via the web

The apps available via remoteaccess.hersha.net are also available under your Start Menu on an HHM PC.


  1. Open remoteaccess.hersha.net in your web browser. We recommend that you use Internet Explorer for the best experience. See the differences between Internet Explorer and Chrome below.
  2. Login using your HHM username and password.
  3. Click the app icon you want to open.
 

Internet Explorer (Recommended)


Google Chrome 
The app opens as expected.
1. A RDP file downloads which you then need to click to run.



2. You may get prompted to reenter your password. Remember to type Hersha\Firstname.Lastname as the username.



Via the Start Menu on an HHM PC

The apps available under your Start Menu are also available via remoteaccess.hersha.net.
  1. Click Start  in the lower left corner.
  2. Scroll down to the "W" and look for the Work Resources folder. Click to expand this folder.
  3. Select the app you want to open.
