Adjust PDF security settings

About: Normally in IT we recommend keeping security features turned on - but for some Hotel applications, in order for the app to function correctly you may need to turn off security features. See below to learn how.


Open Adobe Reader DC

  1. Click the Start button in the lower left corner.
  2. In the app list, locate Adobe Reader DC and open the app.



Open Security Preferences

  1. In Adobe Reader DC, click Edit > Preferences.
  2. Along the left click Security (Enhanced).

Configure Security Preferences

  1. Uncheck the box next to Enable Protected Mode at startup.
  2. Uncheck the box next to Enable Enhanced Security.
  3. Click OK at the bottom right corner.
